“The ensemble dives right into their performances with heart and mettle - and that commitment radiates from every corner of the stage. Presented at Houghton Hall NYC, this 90 minute production is not simply a revival - it’s a reclamation.”

- Khristián Méndez Aguirre, SKENE

“Megan Metrikin (as Amanda Wingfield is sensational… flirtatious, domineering and commanding…” - Darryl Reilly, TheatreScene

“A living footnote to literary history, staged with nerve and heart.”

- Edward Karam, OFF OFF ONLINE

“Bethany’s playing both Laura and Blanche, as well as the color coded lighting changes, blue for one, red for the other, that indicate alignment with their perspectives, invite us to notice these parallels between these (entrapped women), the one as perhaps a darker variation that the other. Bethany’s hands visibly shake as Blanche, highlighted by her almost constant cigarette, but she also ably balances Balcnhe’s angry distrustful side with a more vulnerably confessional Blanche as she opens up to her sister Grace, whom Lauren (Guglielmello) compelling plays as negotiating the line between compassion for and standing up to her unwell (and increasingly unwelcome) sister. Bethany’s striking delivery of Blanche’s final lines position this hope as faint indeed.”

- John R. Ziegler and Leah Richards, Thinking Theatre NYC

“By letting these characters speak from the inside out, they reveal the emotional urgency and raw power often glossed over in more traditional stagings.” - Khristián Méndez Aguirre, Skene

“The luminous Jaclyn Bethany is a tenderly resonant Laura.”

- Darryl Reilly, TheatreScene

“Jacob Storms gracefully illuminates Jim Delaney, the gentleman caller.”

- The Knockturnal

"Chris Ghaffari is supremely volatile and sensual… a charismatic Kowalski figure.” -Darryl Reilly, TheatreScene

“Lauren Guglielmello shows us a loving woman who is beset by her sister’s thoughts and actions.”

- The Knockturnal

“Miss Bethany is a smashing Blanche (here Shannon, instead of Dubois), reveling in all her imperious, deluded and prescient glory.”

-Darryl Reilly, TheatreScene

“Jaclyn Bethany brings Blanche to life with ferocity.” -Khristian Mendez Aguirre, SKENE

“If the short plays that Outraged Hearts comprises offer different ways to look at two of Williams’s more canonical works, this production also offers an excitingly fresh view of these one acts."

- John R. Ziegler and Leah Richards, Thinking Theatre NYC

- “Tom, played by Chris Ghaffari is a surprisingly refreshing take on the character seen in most productions.”

-Edward Karam, OFF OFF Online
